MEET OUR MIND|BODY TEACHERS

Nadine Bramlett

Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor

Nadine has been practicing Pilates and Yoga for 10 years.

She also completed a 200 hour training through Yoga Alliance to become a certified Yoga and Prenatal Yoga Instructor.

Nadine has lived in various places throughout the country and is happy and excited to be settled in in North Georgia. She and her family enjoys a very active lifestyle including outdoor activities and kids’ sports.

Though she is also certified in PiYo, Ugi, and Indoor Cycling, her real passion is for Yoga, Paddleboard Yoga and Pilates.

She loves working on her own personal practice and helping others work to achieve their fitness goals.

Christy Hamilton

Hot Yoga Instructor

I’ve studied under Power Yoga guru Bryan Kest and have given Hot/Bikram based workshops in many beautiful places; Turrialba, Costa Rica, Guangzhou, China, Wassenar, the Netherlands.

My yoga is balanced Ashtanga-flow minded also incorporating philosophies of Iyengar and Erick Schiffman.

I’ve had a residence in Rabun County since 1973.

Living lakeside in Tallulah Falls, I enjoy being outside with my husband, children and six grandchildren.

Fitness Certifications: NETA Pilates Mat Specialty Certification

Hobbies: Spending time with family, Hiking, Yoga, Pilates, enjoying our beautiful mountain sunsets and reading.

Amelia Middlebrooks

Barre Above Certified Instructor

Amelia is a Barre Above certified instructor with a diverse fitness background.

Before relocating to Rabun Gap, Amelia enjoyed the challenging workouts both CrossFit and Orangetheory provided, but since acknowledging her struggle with chronic pain, workouts centered around mind and body practices have become her main focus.

On track to become an art therapist, Amelia earned her BFA from the University of Georgia and will begin her Master of Science program in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling this summer.

Amelia loves adventuring with her pup, working on her ever-growing list of art projects, and spending time with friends.

Victoria Cochran

Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor

Victoria is a high school student at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School, which she has happily attended since 2013. From the first day of school, she became very involved in performances and training in Rabun Gap's Aerial Arts and Circus Program. She quickly grew interested in the ability to gain body flexibility and build strength. When Clayton Health and Fitness first opened in January 2018, Victoria took yoga and pilates courses during her seasons away from the Cirque Program. She quickly fell in love with yoga and decided to acquire a teaching certification. Victoria teaches stretching and aerial arts to other students at RGNS, and she hopes to continue teaching throughout college. She loves to share the skills she has obtained through years of hard work to her friends, family, and fellow yogis.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

HOT YOGA

Practiced in a headed & humid room set at 90-100 degrees. Benefits include: strengthening of the heart, cleansing of impurities from the body, and regulating metabolism and the immune system.

HATHA YOGA

Poses held for approximately 5 breaths. Practice to include breath, poses, and meditation.

YOGA 101

For the beginner or those who just need a refresher.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Slow down & open the body through passive stretching with few poses and the use of props for a blissful practice.

INTERMEDIATE YOGA

This class is for the intermediate Yogi looking to further their practice.

YIN YOGA

Variations of seated & supine poses held 3 to 5 minutes accessing deeper layers of fascia.

VINYASA YOGA

A more flowing practice coordinating movement with breath.

NIDRA YOGA

Promotes deep rest and relaxation. Stages of body scan and breath awareness alone can be practiced to calm the nervous system, leading to less stress and better health.

YOGALATES

The best of both worlds. Combining yoga and Pilates into one practice.

MAT PILATES

A system of core focused exercises designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, posture, and enhance mental awareness.

BARRE

A hybrid workout class combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga, and strength training.
